Someone playing a slot machine at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln on New Year’s Day turned a $1 bet into $125,290.55 by hitting the Thunder Strike Jackpot.
Ener Flores was playing the “Ultimate Fire Link – Olvera Street” machine when the jackpot struck, the casino said.
“We are thrilled to see Mr. Flores start off the New Year with such a large jackpot,” Dawn Clayton, Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s general manager, said in a statement. “Every slot machine in the casino is wired into our exciting Thunder Strike Jackpot, which can strike on any slot at any time, meaning you never know when you will hit it big at Thunder Valley.”
The casino was opened by the United Auburn Indian Community in 2003.
