EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A man is facing meth charges in Evansville after police say he left a backpack with meth inside unattended while at the casino.
Officers were called to the Bally’s Casino on Sunday, where Indiana Gaming Commission officials had detained 40-year-old Anthony Wayne Barron.
Authorities said Barron left the backpack unattended while on the gaming floor, and that the bag had about 30 grams of meth inside along with several other empty baggies.
An affidavit says that Barron told authorities he had bought the meth for $300.
At the Vanderburgh County Jail, deputies said they found another baggie of meth on Barron.
Barron is charged with meth dealing and possession, as well as an additional charge for bringing meth to the jail.
