CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — The Century Casino in Cape Girardeau announced its new hotel will open in April. 
The casino took to Facebook on the twelfth anniversary of the end of the casino’s construction to reveal the timeline. The post acknowledged the casino’s impact on the city’s entertainment success and expressed hype for what is to come with the new hotel. 
“Grateful for the unwavering support of our community, we’re thrilled to announce the upcoming grand opening of our new hotel,” read the post. “Here’s to a decade of memories and the exciting adventures that lie ahead.” 
Construction for the hotel began in September of 2022. The building will house 69 rooms across 68,000 square feet. Guests can bask in the sights of the river and Bill Emerson Memorial bridge outside their windows.
