BOSSIER CITY, La. — Preliminary design work is underway at Live! Casino & Hotel in Bossier City. 
AnderCorp is heading up the $270 million project for Cordish Companies. 
The Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and Visit Shreveport-Bossier anticipate completion of the work and the casino’s opening. 
“We work ahead. You know, we’re already in ’25, ’26, even ’27, ’28, ’29 with trying to book conventions and business to the area, and Live! has been, you know, in our ear saying, ‘Hey, what can we help with,’” said Aaron Bronson, Visit Shreveport-Bossier vice president.
Shreveport Chamber of Commerce President Tim Magner said the new casino will make a positive economic impact on Bossier City as Live! Casino will provide jobs for locals. 
“New businesses are always great to be able to bring new opportunities. That should hopefully bring in new folks,” said Magner.
This will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport- Bossier area. Cordish plans to open the casino in early 2025. It’s expected to bring over 700 jobs to the market.
