TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Casino Del Sol is slowly getting all of its systems back up and running following an attempted cyberattack.
On Feb. 21, there was a widespread system outage at Casino Del Sol. 13 News confirmed the ATMs were down, the credit card systems were out and table games went to cash-only play.
Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, the casino announced that the ATMs were back on at Casino Del Sol but still out at Casino of the Sun.
The casino also said all of its restaurants and bars were still only taking cash and it could not process gift certificates and vouchers.
Around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the casino issued a release and said “an outside attempt was made to access Casino Del Sol’s systems.”
Casino Del Sol said it is working with the FBI and Pascua Yaqui Police Department.
In another update February 28, the casino said hotel keycards at the Casino del Sol tower can now be issued to guests, but Estrella guests must still be escorted to their rooms with a master key.
New reservations still cannot be made.
Casino Del Sol also shared the following updates:
“We extend our sincerest apologies for any disruption or concern this incident may have caused to our valued guests,” the casino said in a news release. “Your trust and security remain our top priorities.”
Some Casino rewards members were also unable to print out vouchers they receive for discounts on food.
A casino spokesperson said all vouchers currently unable to be redeemed will be honored when systems are back up and running.
