It was a seven-card straight flush. And it was worth $1.4 million.
Rivers Casino Pittsburgh early Sunday morning saw its record for the largest jackpot win broken.
A nearly $1.4 million Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive jackpot hit around 2:45 a.m., breaking the prior $1.2 million jackpot record for the casino.
A guest was dealt a seven-card straight flush with cards 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 of clubs, the casino said in a news release.
The player had placed two additional $5 side wagers, which accounted for $25,000 and $3,000 of the total winnings.
It’s the largest progressive Pai Gow prize claimed at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh to date and a new property record.
The Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive jackpot has steadily increased since it began in April 2017, casino officials said, and Sunday marked the first time the full jackpot has hit.
“It’s such a fun and momentous experience watching a jackpot grow until it finally hits,” Andre Barnabei, assistant general manager at the casino, said.
The largest previous payout was for just over $92,000 when a player claimed 10% of the jackpot with five aces in August 2020.
Pai Gow Pokwer uses playing cards instead of traditional Pai Gow Chinese dominoes. It includes head-to-head play against the dealer and an optional bonus bet. Players and the dealer get seven cards each to make two poker hands.
The casino did not release the name of the winner.
