The Treasure Chest on Thursday announced its restaurant plans for the new Kenner landside casino that opens in late spring:
Alder & Birch Steakhouse, a casual spot “with a New Orleans flair,” will use “fresh, local ingredients in all dishes” and include a bar with craft cocktails and wine.

The Game will be a sports bar and grill next to the FanDuel Sportsbook. Its offerings are to include burgers, wings, po-boys, salads, pizzas, nachos and craft draft beer.

Infusion will let guests choose a sit-down meal or a quick bite to eat, with fresh sandwiches, salads, fruit and breakfast pastries, and grab-and-go items. The menu will also have bagels, breakfast burritos and ham and cheese croissants.

Lakeside Cafe will provide lunch and supper options such as chicken and waffles, po-boys and shrimp and grits.

The casino announced its new executive chef last month, Eddie Garcia, who has worked at Las Vegas casinos.
The Treasure Chest opened in a replica riverboat on Lake Pontchartrain in Kenner in 1994.
A Boyd Gaming Corp. property, it’s nearing the end of a $100 million construction project to move onto land, where it will have twice as much gambling space and twice as many restaurants.
“While the Treasure Chest casino is well known for our gaming and entertainment, we are eager to be known as a dining destination as well,” general manager Kim Etland said.
“The new restaurants will fill a demand for exceptional dining in Kenner’s Laketown area and give locals and tourists alike a new reason to visit Kenner.”
In the process of hiring hundreds of employees, the casino has opened an employment center inside the Clarion Hotel at 2829 Williams Blvd.
