WATCH: Arrest made in shooting outside Tunica casino that left four injured, U.S. Marshals say
TUNICA, Miss. – A man is in custody, charged with shooting four people outside Tunica’s Gold Strike Casino in January.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced 19-year-old Imani Holly was taken into custody Tuesday in Knoxville.
“To hear that he was finally captured, that’s closure and that’s relief,” Kelvin Bell, whose friend was one of the shooting victims, said.

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office said it is now just a matter of waiting for Holly to be extradited back to Mississippi. He faces four counts of attempted murder, plus counts of conspiracy and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
For the people affected by the shooting, the arrest meant eight months of waiting finally paid off.
“If you are going to do the crime, you are going to do the time. You are going to get caught eventually,” Bell said. “You might get by for a little bit, but eventually you are going to pay for what you do. The Bible says you reap what you sow, and I am a strong believer in that.”
Bell said he has worked in and around the Tunica casinos for decades.
He told FOX13 his friend who was shot that night has recovered from her injuries, but is still dealing with the trauma of a fun night out turning into a survival situation.
“You don’t expect stuff like that to happen,” Bell said. “Then, when it does happen, you just have to learn to deal with it.”
After the shooting, the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office released images of a stolen car the suspect was believed to be driving.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Holly was identified and a warrant was put out the next month.
US Marshal David G. Jolley said the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Oxford got a lead Tuesday that Holly was in Knoxville. He was found later that day at an apartment complex.
“Holly is a very violent individual who has already racked up a significant criminal history at a young age,” Jolley said. “Holly has been on the run since the Tunica shootings occurred and warrants were issued for his arrest in February. To our knowledge, he had only been in Knoxville for a few hours.”
Investigators said Holly also had a bench warrant for missing court dates after robbing businesses in Tate County.
For locals like Bell, it was an encouraging sign to see the feds step up and cross state lines to solve a crime so close to home.
“A lot of times, it seems like the laws aren’t really working and law enforcement isn’t doing what they’re supposed to do,” he said. “This is evidence that they do, and it does work.”
The U.S. Marshals said Holly was taken in without incident.
